Free online HealthAware screenings can help you decide if you need to take action.
If knowledge is power, then knowing your risk for cancer gives you the power to help prevent it. That’s why we offer free online cancer risk assessments through HealthAware. We currently provide assessments for colorectal, prostate, breast, and lung cancer. No matter your age, these assessments can help you identify specific cancer risk factors you may not know about.
“Risk factors are always changing based on research,” says Angela Quick, Director of Oncology, Prevea Cancer Center at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital. “All adults should consider taking these assessments.”
What Does a Screening Involve?
Taking a HealthAware assessment is as simple as answering a few questions online. Once you’re finished, we’ll email you the results of your assessment, along with advice about what to do next.
“If you want someone to contact you, you’ll have the option to request a telephone consultation,” Quick says. “We want to make sure we’re following up with patients in need.”
Even if you don’t require a consultation after completing the assessment, knowing your risk level can help put your mind at ease. If you do have a high risk for cancer based on the assessment, we recommend that you follow up with your primary care provider.
